L’Ucraina non ha la forza per riconquistare la Crimea e le parte del Donbass occupate dalla Russia nella guerra in corso da oltre 1000 giorni. Il presidente ucraino Volodymyr Zelensky, però, non alza bandiera bianca e ribadisce che Kiev non può e non vuole rinunciare ai propri territori. Ad una domanda di Le Parisien riguardo alla possibilità che l’Ucraina possa rinunciarvi ‘temporaneamente’, il presidente ha infatti risposto: “Legalmente non possiamo cedere i nostri territori, lo proibisce la Costituzione dell’Ucraina”.
“Ma fisicamente cosa valgono queste parole? Se fisicamente ci sono parti del nostro territorio sotto il loro controllo – ha aggiunto nell’intervista con il giornale francese, riferendosi ai russi – sono loro ad avere il controllo, non noi, purtroppo. E se noi non abbiamo oggi la forza di riprendere tutti i nostri territori, allora l’Occidente può trovare la forza di far sedere Putin al tavolo e affrontare questa guerra per via diplomatica”.
